To combat the growing menace of junk e-mail, the FTC has announced that it will finally go after spam artists who clog surfers in boxes. We'll see. According to estimates by Jupiter Media Metrix, by the year 2006, at current trend rates, surfers will have to contend with as many as 1,400 junk e-mail messages per person anually.
